Wand Curls

 Everyone is different but I know that I like curls on myself rather than straight hair. However curling your hair can be extremely hard. There are numerous ways to curl your hair weather it is using a straightener, wand , or curling iron. I quite like how my hair came out. 3 Things You Should Know Before Starting a Blog

Hey Guys, so I was online and watched a few video where Blogger/YouTubers were talking about the stereotypes that people think about bloggers or having a blog. I'm not gonna sit here and tell you guys that I didn't believe the stereotypes , because I did.

 Before I started a blog I thought what all other none bloggers think. I don't have many followers but I'm writing this for anyone who's willing to read. These are some things that people should know before starting a blog. Don't get me wrong I LOVE blogging, but I never thought it would be like this. 

1. It's not Easy

 A lot of people think that having a blog is easy, that once and a while that you can write a blog post and you'll magically get thousands of followers. You have to write QUALITY posts, people won't read the posts if they are poorly written or have irrelevant topics.

2. Don't start a blog if you don't enjoy it

This is another thing many people do, they start a blog because they want to make money, or get notice. Truth be told if your hearts not in it you won't last. You'll get bored or start writing poor posts. Don't do it if you don't love it.

3. Followers won't just appear

It's not easy to get followers, you have to have a target audience that will read and be active in your blog. I don't have a lot of followers but it's okay because I know the followers that I do have are quality followers. You have to work hard and have quality posts. You could also use social websites like Facebook,twitter, Instagram, ect.  

In conclusion, starting a blog is hard work, but if you love it it's amazing!!! I love blogging and reading other blogs, and I wouldn't go back and change anything. If you enjoy blogs then definitely start one, and don't give up if you don't think you have enough followers.

 I've been seriously writing on my blog since September and only have 53 followers and I freak out every time I get a new one. I love my followers and the blogs  I follow. Good Luck to everyone who wants to start a blog.

Shopping Success!

Hello Everyone, I think most people agree with me when I say I love to shop! But sometimes shopping isn't the best thing especially when you have loads of stuff and you don't have loads of money. Even thought I have more clothes and jewelry than I can handle I still want MORE! 

So last week I was at the mall and almost had a heart attack when I found out dELiA's was having a sale, and not any sale, most of their shirts were just $5!!!  There jewelry was also buy one get one free! And get this, their shoes were $5 too!!!! However, I was responsible and only got a few things...kind of. I also stopped by Claire's who also had a 10 for 10 sale.

When your Snowed In!!!

I know this isn't my usual post but I need to write and I think this is the perfect place for it. This past week I had yet another snow day, well school wasn't closed it was just to hectic outside for anyone to go.

 My school only has 30-something kids  Anyway being that this is the third snow day I've had so far I had to come up with something to do on this extremely boring day. So I made a list. 

This list was devised so that I could help other bored teens on snow days. Like I said this isn't my normal post so I might be awful at this but here it goes.

1. Sleep in 

Sleep is an amazing thing and when a snow day occurs its the perfect excuse to catch up on some sleep. Especially if your a high school student, you know the struggle of not getting enough sleep.

2. Stay in you Pjs ALL day 

When you get the chance why not stay in your Pjs all day?

 

3. Watch EVER Disney movie you can

This is pretty self explanatory 

4. Eat EVERYTHING 

Why not?

 

5. RELAX

If you have a day off don't stress yourself out, it's best to take it slow and relax.

Tresemme Keratin Smooth Heat Protection Shine Spray

This product probably has the longest name ever! Okay so let's talk about it! Before purchasing this I usually used the Pantene Heat Protection Spray for Curly Hair and I loved it! 4

I was kinda exited to use this product because every time I watch tutorials online they always use a Tresemme Heat Protection Spray and I never really got around to purchasing one. 

However, I must say that the rave is right I love this spray. I love the smell, feel, and way it leaves my hair after using it. 

I used it today when I straighten my hair, its suppose to keep your hair straight and de-frizzed for 7 days. I'm gonna try to leave my hair unwashed for a few days and write an update because I'm kinda curious whether or not it will keep my hair this way. So if any of you have tried this leave a comment down below!

Covergirl Naturluxe Gloss Balm

Covergirl Natureluxe Gloss Balm, wow that's a mouth-full, try saying that 10 times.  At fist sight these may look like they have heavy pigment , but that's not the case. The picture above is not mine, but I do have the two corner colors, sorry I have not been able to take picture lately but I really need to get a better camera so when I do I will definitely be posting  my own pictures. 

Back to the Gloss Balm , I currently have three, Marble- 255, Tulip-205, and Thistle-210. Tulip and Thistle surprisingly are lighter when looking at the shade, yet they give off more pigment than Marble. I really like these because being only a high-schooler I don't really like heavy color on my lips and these are perfect when you want just the right amount of color.

 I also love them because they are extremely moisturizing. The Marble actually gives off almost no pigment so if you ever need a moisturizing balm that gives off a little shine, this is perfect.  They also all have SPF 15, which is just another bonus, I totally love this balm, it has such a lightweight feel that I can't get enough of them.

My FAVORITE Morning Fave Wash?

In the morning I'm one of those people that don't want to get out of bed. The only way for me to really wake up is by washing my face. I love washing my face with a face wash that you can feel working, that's why I love all the morning burst products. 

I can honestly say that every morning burst product that I've tried has woken me up in the morning. And I really do love all the other products but this product has been my favorite for one reason : the smell. The other products I've tried have worked but they had strong scents like citrus or mint which personally for me is too much in the morning. 

After trying this its the only one I use in the morning. It wakes you up like the other products but has such an amazing smell. This one is in Caffeine, Lemon and Papaya, and it honestly smells amazing. If your looking for a face wash to wake you up in the morning and that smells amazing you should definitely try this. I promise you won't regret it!

To me it means being yourself and your own style. To be beautiful means to be your own person.

Sorry to say that I don't wear foundation, only a little concealer.
3. When did you start wearing makeup and why?
I started wearing makeup when I was about 14 and all I wore was mascara, now I only wear concealer, mascara, and add a bit of color to my lips. I started wearing makeup because I liked putting it on to be completely honest with you.
4. What is your favorite cosmetic brand and why?
Covergirl! I love this brand, personally I think it's the best drugstore cosmetic brand.
5. How confident do you feel with no makeup on at all?
If I don't have time or feel extremely lazy I won't wear makeup , but I feel better with it on especially when it covers my horrible dark under-eye circle.
6. How do you find inspiration for your blog posts?
I write what I want, if it comes to mind I'll write it.

I feel like it depends on the person, I've seen people wear certain trends that I would never think to try and they rocked it, but to be honest I'm not to keen on overdoing animal prints.

I love the 50's fashion trends. It may have been a bit uncomfortable not being able to wear pants but I love love love their dresses.

If I'm not going out its my pjs and a simple shirt , if I'm hanging out I love tights with a long shirt, or jeans and a t-shirt, and I find any chance I get to wear love cardigans.

Finals Week Finally Over!

If you live in the U.S. you know that this week was finals week. That's why I've been M.I.A. But Finals are finally over! It's a sigh of relief, yet anxiety because you won't know how you did until after regents week. Since I don't have any regents in January I get the next week off. 

If your not from the U.S. regents are tests that you take for certain courses. But Since I have next week off I'm gonna try to make up for my blogging M.I.A. I hope everyone did well on their finals and hope everyone gets a good grade on their regents. Talk to you guys soon.

Carrie Bradshaw Hair

I'm not sure if everyone is obsessed with the Carrie Diaries as much as I am, but from the first episode the first thing I thought was FLAWLESS. Carrie, which is played by Annasophia Robb is absolutely flawless. 

Yes, he makeup is on point and he outfits are amazing, but what I'm talking about is her HAIR! I am OBSESSED with curls, mostly because when I was younger I had practically similar curls to Carrie. 

My hair is still kinda like it used to be but hair hair is way to frizzy to leave natural. Finally I've figured how to recreate this hair. Sorry , that I cant post a picture but hopefully my explanation is enough. 

All your going to need is a curler from 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch depending on how big you want the curls to be. Make sure you don't use the clamp and just spin your hair around the barrel. 

However, if you have a massive amount of hair like I do it will take a while but don't worry its worth it. Make sure to use hair spray and if you want you can tease your roots slightly for more volume.

Dry Winter Skin

Thankfully I have pretty normal skin, but in the winter I get small dry patches on my cheeks. I didn't know what to put on my face because I'm the type of person who can't stand lotion on their face. So I tried the Garnier Moisture Rescue, and loved it! 

It doesn't  leave a residue like lotion usually does. Your skin just absorbs it and your skin immediately feels hydrated. There are other versions of this Gel-Cream for fry skin. So if you want to hydrate your skin you can use this one or if you have really dry skin you can use the one for dry skin. 

I definitely think this is a great investment especially in winter.  The best thing about this is that it lasts 24-hours. I really love this product. I definitely recommend it.

Velvet Tight!

I'm the kind of person who sticks to blue jeans and black tights. I really wasn't the type of person to try crazy colors or patterns, and never did I think I would wear velvet tights!

 But one night my cousin was over and had them on and they looked like to most comfortable tights ever. She convinced me to go get them and I can't tell you how amazing they are.

Garage- $22

This obviously isn't a picture of me, but this is pretty much what they look like. I love them!! They're comfortable enough to wear day-to-day, but if you wanna put a nice shirt over and add some heels you could wear it to a party. I honestly love these pants.

 And you could find them anywhere, I got mine at Garage, but I've seen them at Forever 21,Love Culture, and Mandees. They are definitely a great investment!

New Years!!!!

This year I was lucky enough to go to two parties. On New Years Eve, I went to a family party, and on New Years day my extended family and I went to more of a formal party. It was a blast! There was tons of dancing, family, and fun! I wouldn't have imagined a better night.

 I thought I'd share with you guys my outfits for both nights, however on New Year Eve, I unfortunately didn't take any full body picture so I'll just put pictures of the clothes :)

I basically wore the same makeup both nights. Oh and by the way I totally recommend Velvet Leggings they are absolutely the most comfortable bottoms ever, and they don't even look like leggings. You can wear them to a formal even or just to school. Well that's all for now.
